Mirrino Privacy Policy

Mirrino is a local screen mirroring tool. The phone app is the sender: it discovers a compatible TV on the same local Wi-Fi network and, after the user chooses a TV, asks Android for screen capture permission. Mirrino TV is the receiver: it waits for a local connection, receives the stream and displays video and audio on the TV.

Screen capture uses Android MediaProjection or the current Android system capture mechanism. It starts only after the user approves the Android system dialog. Mirrino cannot start screen capture secretly. During a session, the captured screen can include anything visible on the phone screen, including private information shown by other apps. Users should start mirroring deliberately and stop it when they no longer want to share the screen.

The normal Mirrino stream is sent from the phone to the selected Mirrino TV over the local network by TCP. MW Interactive does not receive the screen image, store the stream, analyze screen contents or record transmissions on MW Interactive servers. Mirrino also supports selected photo/video sharing through Google Cast by temporarily serving the selected file from the phone to the chosen Cast receiver on the local network.

Mirrino can capture capturable system playback audio with Android AudioPlaybackCapture as part of the mirroring session. The phone permission is named microphone/record audio, but the audited code uses it for playback audio capture, not for recording the user's microphone. Some apps or DRM-protected content may block screen or audio capture.

Device discovery uses Android Network Service Discovery / DNS-SD on the local network. Mirrino may use local TV service name, local IP address, port, model/device name, capability flags and a temporary session identifier to connect devices and diagnose a live session. These are used locally and are not sent to an MW Interactive backend.

Mirrino does not require an account, email, login or password. Mirrino does not display advertising and the audit did not find Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Sentry, App Center or a custom telemetry backend.

Mirrino Mobile uses Google Play Billing for the optional one-time product mirrino_unlimited_lifetime. Google Play processes the payment; MW Interactive does not receive card numbers. The app can receive purchase state, product ID, formatted price and purchase token from Google Play Billing in order to unlock unlimited sharing and acknowledge the purchase. Mirrino TV has no separate in-app purchase in the audited code.

Local data on the phone can include selected language, last selected TV, dismissed hints, denied audio permission flag, free daily sharing time used and whether Google Play reports unlimited access. Local TV data can include Mini mode size and position. These data remain until app data is cleared, settings are changed where available or the app is uninstalled.

Permissions used by Mirrino Mobile include internet/local network access, network/Wi-Fi state, Wi-Fi multicast for discovery, selected image/video media read access, record audio for Android playback audio capture, foreground service and media projection foreground service, and notifications for the active sharing notification. Permissions used by Mirrino TV include internet/local network access, network state, Wi-Fi multicast for discovery/service advertising, foreground service/media projection for optional TV-to-phone reverse capture, and display over other apps only for optional Mini mode.

Third-party and system services used by Mirrino can include Android MediaProjection, Android AudioPlaybackCapture, Android NSD/DNS-SD, Android notifications/foreground services, Google Play Billing and Google Cast services. Google Play Data Safety for Mirrino Mobile should consider purchases, app activity/settings, selected photos/videos used for Cast sharing, audio and screen contents processed locally for mirroring, and local device/network identifiers used for discovery. Mirrino TV should consider app activity/settings, local network/device information, received screen/audio stream display, and optional TV screen capture if reverse viewing is enabled.

Contact and deletion
