About WiFi Home Test

WiFi Home Test helps users check home Wi-Fi quality, compare measurement sets and generate local PDF reports. Measurement data is processed and stored locally in the app. MW Interactive does not receive RSSI, room names, measurement set names, SSID, BSSID, router data, internet probe results or PDF report contents.

Local data and reports

The app stores measurement packages, rooms, Wi-Fi readings, notes, comparison results, settings and generated report data locally on the device. PDF reports are generated locally. A PDF leaves the app only when the user chooses Save/Download, printing or sharing through another app.

Internet probes

The app performs technical network checks needed to estimate internet availability and stability. These probes do not upload saved Wi-Fi measurement history or PDF contents to MW Interactive.

Minimal telemetry

The code contains a minimal MW Interactive telemetry mechanism. When production telemetry is configured, the app may send a randomly generated installation identifier at launch to estimate installs, launches and basic aggregated usage. This identifier is not Android ID, Advertising ID, IMEI, MAC address, SIM identity or a Google account, and Wi-Fi measurements are not sent with it. In the audited release configuration the telemetry base URL defaults to empty, so no launch ping is sent unless it is explicitly configured.

Google Play Billing and ads

WiFi Home Test offers a one-time WiFi Home Test PRO purchase using product ID wifi_home_test_pro_lifetime. Payment is handled by Google Play Billing. MW Interactive does not receive card numbers or full payment credentials.

The app includes Google Mobile Ads and Google UMP consent support. The free version may display advertising provided by Google Mobile Ads when advertising is enabled. The audited release manifest removes advertising ID permissions and the AdMob app identifier is empty unless configured for a build. If ads are enabled, Google may process data for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention according to Google's policies.

Permissions and deletion

Network access is used for internet checks and Google services. Wi-Fi/network state access is used for local diagnostics of the current connection. The app does not require location permission in the audited manifest. Users can delete measurement sets and rooms in the app, clear app data in Android settings or uninstall the app.

Children, security and contact

WiFi Home Test is not specifically designed to collect personal information from children. The app is designed to keep measurement data local and limit data transmission, but no storage or transmission method is perfectly secure. Questions can be sent to support@mwinteractive.com.
