CleanShare Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 13, 2026
This policy applies to CleanShare, Android package com.mwinteractive.cleanshare, published by MW Interactive / Marek Wieleba. Contact: support@mwinteractive.com.
Local image processing
Photos selected in CleanShare are processed locally on the user's device and are not uploaded to MW Interactive servers for image processing. The user selects a specific image through Android Photo Picker or a system picker. CleanShare does not scan the full gallery for processing.
Source images, redactions and metadata
Source images, blur/pixelate/black strokes, arrows, frames, drawings, typed text and redaction coordinates are local editing-session data. MW Interactive does not receive source images, EXIF, GPS metadata, filenames, annotation text or redaction coordinates.
CleanShare may locally read GPS, EXIF, device metadata and photo date to inform the user and create a cleaned output without those metadata.
Output, history, Save and Share
The cleaned image is created locally as a new file. Redactions are rendered into pixels and the original image is not overwritten. If history saving is enabled, local history contains cleaned outputs only, not original source images. The user may delete one history item, clear history or disable history.
Save writes the cleaned output where the user chooses. Share sends the cleaned output through Android Share Sheet to an app selected by the user. From that point, the destination app's privacy policy applies.
Telemetry, Billing and ads
CleanShare may send a randomly generated installation ID to MW Interactive at launch when TELEMETRY_BASE_URL is configured. The app code is cleanshare_android. No images, EXIF, GPS, annotation text, filenames, history, device model, account, Advertising ID or payment data are sent with that launch ping.
CleanShare offers a one-time CleanShare PRO purchase using product ID cleanshare_pro_lifetime. Google Play Billing handles payment; MW Interactive does not receive card numbers.
The app contains Google Mobile Ads and Google UMP support. The audited manifest removes AdMob manifest components unless a build explicitly configures ads. The free version may display advertising provided by Google Mobile Ads when advertising is enabled.
Retention, deletion and security
Local data remains until the user deletes it, clears app data or uninstalls the app. Telemetry, when enabled, is limited to basic installation/launch statistics. CleanShare is not specifically designed to collect personal information from children. No storage or transmission method is guaranteed to be perfectly secure.
